Artist's Comments

This was a backstreet workshop full of mannequins in Chiswick, London.

The shot is unposed - this is just how I found them. The expressions seemed so intense.

Copy of my original print from the mid 80's with a compact as scanner is bust.

You better drop your cerebral drawers 'cause I'm about to blow your mind!

Thanks. When I find the negatives it will look a lot sharper. Whole place was very eery and one guy working away looking at me like I was the one from another planet. :)

The whole place seemed creepy. Especially the guy working away with all this around him. :)

We are like sculptors, constantly carving out of others the image we long for, need, love or desire, often against reality, against their benefit, and always, in the end, a disappointment, because it does not fit them-Anais Nin

They seem so real, their eyes are so piercing.
Its so stunning.

This is pretty creepy. They look pretty life like. The missing arms really adds a special touch =) and yes their faces look very serious and sorrowful. :+favlove:

Yeah, it was really quite strange to feel such intensity and expression. They didn't feel inanimate at all - just deeply silent.
