This was a backstreet workshop full of mannequins in Chiswick, London.

The shot is unposed - this is just how I found them. The expressions seemed so poignant and each somehow different.

Copy of my original print from the mid 80's with a compact as scanner is bust.

The whole place felt like I was trespassing on their world and it seemed like silent whispering followed me around till I left.
